We as a society are formed, shaped and molded by exterior values. And those with the tendencies of an addiction take this a step further by incorporating substances into their system to "feel" better or to fill the emptiness from within with something to mask it all. My approach is to educate people of the interior aspects of who we are as individuals and to help people embrace who and what they are as early in in life as possible. When you know who you are and don't look outside yourself for a solution of any kind, your in a better position to not succumb to behavior that are only a reflection of what you believe. Addiction starts from within and manifests outward through the symptoms of abuse.
